Debbie tells us a little about Keswick and one of her favourite Lake District walks around Latrigg that she enjoys with her children.

Meet Debbie

Debbie has been General Manager at our Newby Bridge Hotel since January this year having initially been employed as Head Receptionist and worked her way to the top. She lives in Barrow with her husband Dale (who can be spotted around the hotel helping to keep things shipshape) and her four children.

"Keswick is one of mine and my family's favourite places to visit in the Lake District. It has a great atmosphere any day of the week, but especially on market days – there is a traditional market in the town centre every Saturday and in addition a local produce and craft market specialising in Made in Cumbria products takes place on most Thursdays of the year. Keswick has a huge range of independent shops and, contrary to popular belief, they're not all outdoors shops!! There are also some great attractions to keep the family occupied if the weather’s not so great – The Puzzling Place is fairly new and one of my kids’ favourite places to go to.

There are lovely views very close to hand. Our favourite walk is Latrigg Walk, which is a long but gradual ascent to an outstanding viewpoint over Keswick"

Details of the Latrigg Walk can be found in this downloadable guide. If you have done this walk and have captured it on camera, we would love to share your photos.
