Your Civil Ceremony...

The Damson Dene offers three rooms suitable for your civil ceremony, the Princess Suite, The Heron View and the Lounge. All can be arranged with an aisle for you to make your grand entrance.

The Princess Suite is suitable for ceremonies of up to 60 guests. The Heron View can cater up to 100 guests and offers stunning views of the hotels gardens or for a more intimate ceremony, the Lounge can cater for up to 20 people.

Each ceremony room is individually priced and includes:-

  • Red Carpet for arrival
  • Fresh flowers to decorate your ceremony
  • Use of our gardens for photographs
  • Use of our CD player for your chosen music

Optional Extras that we can arrange for you are:-

Your Wedding Breakfast…

At Damson Dene Hotel we can cater for your wedding breakfast for up to 120 guests. Our Heron View Restaurant offers stunning views over our gardens and the Lakeland fells beyond.

Our experienced staff will ensure that you receive first class service with your choice of delicious meal from our selection of banqueting menus and drinks package. We can also offer a choice of canapés, fine wines and champagnes should you prefer to enhance your choices.

Whichever package you should choose we would ensure that the room is dressed to perfection with your style and choice.

Each package is individually priced and if your wedding breakfast is for 50 people or more we can also include:-

  • Red carpet for your arrival
  • Table linen to compliment your colour scheme
  • Use of a Cake Stand and Knife
  • Four Poster Bedroom with Spa Bath for your Wedding Night

Your Evening Reception…

Once the formalities of the day are over, it’s time to relax, let your hair down and party!

At Damson Dene Hotel we can cater for evening receptions for up to 130 people with your choice of either DJ or live band. We offer a selection of buffet choices from a finger buffet through to a Decorated Carved Buffet or maybe you prefer a simple but filling Lindisfarm Hot Pot. Whatever you decide we can arrange everything for you to ensure the perfect party atmosphere.

If the Damson Dene has catered for your Wedding Breakfast, we are happy to offer complimentary room hire for your evening reception. If you are just joining us for the evening there will be a room hire charge.

Staying at the Damson Dene Hotel

Experience the unique atmosphere of the Damson Dene Hotel, located in the tranquil Lyth Valley.

At any time of the day you can unwind in the gardens. During the winter months relax in our cosy lounge with crackling log fire.

The hotel is well appointed offering 41 en-suite bedrooms, many with Four Poster Bed and en-suite Jacuzzi. All our rooms offer hospitality tray, remote control television, direct dial telephone and hairdryer.

Guests have free, unlimited use of our leisure facilities throughout their stay which include indoor pool, steam room, gym and spa pool.

If we hosted your wedding breakfast for 50 people or more, we are happy to offer a complimentary four-poster room with Jacuzzi as our wedding gift to the Bride and Groom.

For Friday or Saturday weddings we are able to offer a special rate for an additional five bedrooms for a one- night stay. Any additional rooms must be taken on our two- night weekend package.

Wedding Menu Selector...

Within your chosen menu selector please choose one starter, one main course and one dessert.

If you would prefer to offer your guests a choice, we will ask that you choose no more than three options and that we receive a pre-order stating guest name, table number and menu choice at least three weeks prior to your wedding. We would also ask that your guests’ choices are written on the inside of their place card to give them a gentle reminder of what they have chosen on the day!

All our menu choices are made using locally sourced, quality ingredients, many of the vegetables are grown in own kitchen gardens and much of the meat is reared by ourselves.
